This collaborative project brings together PlasmaGear’s PFAS-free DWR coating and Inovenso’s integrated plasma–electrospinning machine to develop sustainable, high-performance outerwear fabrics. By combining plasma coating and electrospinning in a single system, the project enables efficient production of breathable, water- and oil-repellent textiles without harmful fluorochemicals. This innovation addresses urgent environmental and regulatory challenges while enhancing comfort and durability. The dual-function machine reduces process steps and simplifies adoption for textile manufacturers. Gestion Dryad and Greentechfashion will act as end users, validating the materials through real-world applications. Gestion Dryad will support commercialization in the protective apparel sector, while Greentechfashion will pilot the materials in sustainable fashion lines. Their insights will guide product refinement and market readiness. Together, the consortium delivers an eco-friendly textile solution aligned with the growing demand for sustainable, PFAS-free performance fabrics.
