We are pleased to announce that the SMART 10th Call for Projects is now open. From now until 26 January 2027 (11:00 CET), organisations can submit their Project Outlines (PO) and take the first step towards building ambitious international R&D collaborations in Advanced Manufacturing.
The Project Outline (PO) provides a concise overview of the project concept, objectives and consortium, even if some aspects are still under development. Submitting a PO allows participants to receive early feedback from the SMART evaluation team, helping to strengthen the proposal before the Full Project Proposal (FPP) stage.
If you need support preparing your Project Outline, the SMART team will be happy to assist you throughout the process.
As in previous editions, participants will use the Cluster Projects Tool to submit their Project Outline and manage the proposal process, simplifying the exchange of project information and subsequent evaluation steps.
Join us at the SMART Project Outline Day in Vienna
The SMART Project Outline (PO) Day will take place on 8 October 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
This event offers an excellent opportunity to meet potential project partners, exchange ideas, explore collaboration opportunities and discuss your project concept with the SMART community before preparing your proposal.
Vienna will become the meeting point for the European innovation ecosystem during that week. The Xecs_Eureka PO Day will also take place on 6 October, while additional networking activities are being prepared for 7 October, providing participants with even more opportunities to build strong international consortia.

10th Call Calendar
The main milestones of the SMART 10th Call for Projects are:
- 8 October 2026 – SMART PO Day, Vienna (Austria)
- 26 January 2027 (11:00 CET) – Deadline for Project Outline (PO) submission
- 12 March 2027 – Announcement of invitations to submit a Full Project Proposal (FPP)
- 15 April 2027 (11:00 CEST) – Deadline for Full Project Proposal (FPP) submission
- 2 June 2027 – Selected projects receive the SMART Label
Research and Innovation Domains
The SMART Technology Roadmap identifies the research priorities that will drive the next generation of advanced manufacturing technologies. Projects submitted to the SMART 10th Call should address one or more of the following Research and Innovation Domains:

We encourage companies, research organisations and universities from the SMART participating countries to start building their international consortia and submit their project ideas.
