Abstract
The CYCLETIRE project develops a circular and traceable value chain for producing high-quality carbon-based materials from End-of-Life Tires (ELTs). By integrating RFID-enabled traceability, advanced feedstock classification and optimized pyrolysis processes, the project ensures low-ash recovered carbon (rC) as a consistent input material. The recovered carbon is further upgraded into high-performance regenerated carbon black through innovative post-treatment processes, enabling its use in tire compounds. Prototype tires are developed and validated at OEM level to ensure real-world performance and compliance with industrial requirements. A digital product passport (DPP) framework supports full traceability and data-driven optimization across the value chain. By combining material innovation, digitalization and industrial validation, CYCLETIRE enables scalable, high-performance and sustainable tire production aligned with circular economic objectives.
