On the 10th and 11th of April SMART attended Industry 4.0 Summit & Expo in Manchester. Showcasing the latest products and services for Industry 4.0, IIoT, smart factories and the future of manufacturing, the event attracted around 2,500 manufacturing and supply chain professionals keen to see the latest advances in automation, robotics, software, sensors, virtual reality, 3D printing, big data, predictive maintenance, human machine interfaces & many other related areas.
SMART was present at the Expo with a stand where information about EUREKA CLUSTERS and how to participate in the Advanced Manufacturing Calls launched by them was provided. SMART Programme Coordinator, Aritz Arteche, also participated at the Open Technology Forum in a 15 minute-slot talking about these issues. Thanks to this, many interesting contacts were made especially with representatives from UK Universities, RTOs and Business Development Entities interested in activating R&D projects on Advanced Manufacturing in international collaboration.
